The detail of Lucia curled under the carrel desk in the library did a lot of work. It's one of those small, specific things that opens the whole character. The scene with Sofia and Matteo felt like a window into something Lucia has never quite been allowed to have. Reading on.

You caught exactly what I was hoping would land. Those small, quiet details carry more truth than the bigger moments. Lucia doesn’t announce what she needs, so it shows up in where she hides and what she allows.

The scene with Sofia and Matteo sits right on that edge for her. She’s not stepping into something new so much as brushing against it and not quite trusting it’s real.
